2020
Recap of the year of the Pandemic.
We, as a Chapter, survived the pandemic. After a few months of quarrantining and no meetings, we decided to offer members the option to weigh in at an outdoor location. This worked quite well, staying 6 feet apart, wearing masks and using hand sanitizer as needed. A core group of members showed up regularly from July 2020 until we moved back to an indoor location. It was quite a sight to see members, in January, remove their heavy winter coat and step on the scale with shorts and short sleeve shirts (their weigh in clothing) in 28 degree weather.
Our Chapter’s 2020 weight-loss report is in! Why am I so excited? We have 5 members that are Division Winners!
Enrollment: 30 TOPS & 7 KOPS = 37 members
As a Chapter the total pounds lost: 136.4
Total pounds gained: 22.6
For a net loss of 113.8 lbs!
113.8 divided by 30 TOPS = 3.79 lbs per member.
Those that weighed during our outside weekly weighing in are our biggest winners!
Division 2
Ida lost 10 lbs.
Division 3
1st: Amy lost 22.6 lbs
2nd: Ellen lost 13
Division 4
1st: Lillian lost 17.4, regained KOPS status
2nd: Cheryl lost 11.2
CONGRATULATIONS!
I’m so happy for you! It hasn’t been an easy year, yet members have taken what they learned from TOPS and have made it work even during a pandemic.
